Research Associate
Reema studies music perception and cognition, exploring questions related to how infants’ everyday musical experiences shape their learning and development.
Heather Anderson
Ph.D. Student
Heather is a doctoral student who studies how parent-child interactions influence the development of language and executive functioning over time. She is particularly interested in the language and strategies parents use to guide their children through “everyday tasks” like grooming, mealtime, and book-reading – things that can be challenging for a young child.
Ally Kuznia
Ph.D. Student
Ally is a Ph.D. student who studies how children learn and remember language over extended time. Outside the lab, she spends her time figure skating, playing with her puppy, and drinking fancy coffee with friends.
Kayla McComb
Ph.D. Student
Kayla is a Ph.D. student who studies musical and linguistic development. She is particularly interested in how environmental musical experience impacts infant vocalizations. Outside of the lab, Kayla enjoys playing with her puppy, cooking, and writing and listening to music.
Natalie Dueltgen

Natalie is senior undergraduate student majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology. Natalie hopes to attend graduate school and become a neuropsychologist. Natalie spends most of her free time outdoors, reading, or painting.

Sonoma is a senior undergraduate student majoring in Psychology and minoring in Anthropology. Sonoma enjoys studying cultural influences on developmental processes. In her free time, she loves reading, cooking, and running.
Lucie Gilda

Lucie is a sophomore undergraduate student planning to major in psychology, with a minor in linguistics or music, on a track to medical school. Lucie loves to crochet, read, and hang out with friends and family.
Andrew McQueen
Project Manager
Andrew is a UO graduate double majoring in Psychology and Economics. Other than pursuing research in psychology, Andrew enjoys reading fiction and hiking with his two children.
Jena Miko
Undergraduate Student
Jena is double majoring in Communication Disorders and Sciences and Psychology, and she is interested in how children learn language from the objects in their environment. She hopes to become a Speech Language Pathologist with a focus in Early Intervention. In her free time Jena loves to read, try new coffee shops, and spend time with friends and family.

Emmy is a UO graduate majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sport Business. Emmy plans to earn a graduate degree in sports psychology. Emmy is excited to contribute to the PLAY project.

Alex is a sophomore undergraduate student majoring in Psychology. She hopes to earn a master’s degree in either psychology or speech pathology in the future. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, painting, and sewing.
